The Enlightened Despot

It’s official: Hillary Clinton will be the next Secretary of State. When this rumor first got going, I found it very implausible, and said so. In fact, I was fairly sure such a thing would never happen. And yet, here it is, happening. Correctness is what we do here at the Despot, and I was incorrect. Kevin Drum, who was in the same boat as I, has eaten his hat [shaped cake]:

I don’t have a loving, hat-shaped-cake-baking wife, and I certainly wouldn’t know how to pull such a stunt off myself, so I will have to settle for making fun of myself via Billy Madison.

We now return to our regular program of being correct about things.
